Golden Globes – Celebrities Not Crossing the Picket Line
That's right, a number of Tinsel Town's finest talents have chosen to forgo this year's Golden Globe Awards unless an agreement is reached between the Writers Guild of America and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers.
Katherine Heigl: Photo Credit: WENNKatherine Heigl, who received a nomination for her role on Grey's Anatomy, is just one of the popular stars holding out for an agreement.
Katherine told reporters, "I'm not crossing the picket line, unless I'm contractually obligated to do, which, for the Golden Globes, I'm not."
James McAvoy agrees with Heigl's stance.
The actor, whose movie Atonement received 7 nods, says he doesn't want to cross the picket line, either.
"I don't think I'd want to do that," he says. "It's an environment I wouldn't want to stick my nose into."
Other high-profile celebs refusing to attend include Glenn Close, nominated for her role in Damages, Jeremy Piven, who received a nod for Entourage, and Matt Weiner who - as executive producer - is up for the drama series, Mad Men.
Will you watch the Golden Globes if an agreement isn't met?
