One Tree Hill Season Five Extended Due to Strike Resolution!

Fans of the hit series One Tree Hill will be thrilled to know that CW plans to air six additional episodes of Season Five now that the writers' strike is over.

The new season was originally supposed to air 20 new episodes but was cut down to 12 because of the WGA strike.

One Tree Hill Season 5The strike was settled on February 9, 2008 and, as a result, six more episodes will be taped and aired for the fifth season. The total number of episodes airing in Season Five will now be 18.

The four previous seasons of the hit show aired between 21 and 23 episodes per season.

Other CW shows extended their seasons now that the writers' strike is over include Gossip Girl (five additional episodes expected), Smallville (five additional episodes expected), The Game (nine additional episodes expected), Reaper (five additional episodes expected) and Supernatural (four additional episodes expected).
