America’s Next Top Model – Did Saleisha Deserve to Win?

I absolutely think Saleisha deserved to win - she was by far the best model there. Heather shouldn't even have made the top 10 but I think the other 2 deserved to be in the top 3 as well

I wanted Chantal to win but I really liked Jenah too. I think Tyra usually picks the girls who have struggled so I thought jenah might have cried her way into the final two. Once I saw her crying like that I didn't really want her to win anymore.

No. Just no. Blatant favouritism, and if the judges had been able to take an unbiased attitude (and understand irony), Jenah would have won by a mile. Saleisha's portfolio was unbelievably week, very embarassing for a 'Top Model' winner.

yea Saleisha was the prettiest one of the group. She is a true threat. She can be commercial, and also high fasion. She proved she could be high fassion with her last two photo shoots. Also many of the judges loved her photo when she was jumping over the great wall. That picture was Genius. She will be one of the better models who has won top model.

Saleisha's win was a rigged joke.

The only reason Saleisha won was because she had previous ties to Tyra (T-zone, modeled on Tyra's show - both the talk show and in S6 runway) and was in a Wendy's commerical previous to the show. Given the nationally aired Wendy's commerical less than 5 years before the show, it is seriously shady that Saleisha appeared on the show, since that is in direct violation of the rules to apply

Saleisha deserved it, hands down. Her pictures were fierce, especially the wall photo in China. She gave it her all throughout the entire competition and she didn't mess up on the runway, unlike Chantal, who tripped a guy on stilts.

I totally was hoping either jenah or saleisha was going to win and i think that saleisha deserved the title of america's next top model she gave it her all and it was quite apparant throughout the whole competition SO GO SALEISHA

I believe that it was already said that Saleisha would win. The judges knew what they were doing. Jenah out of the final 3 should have taken it. Her pics alone show that in leaps and bounds above the rest. My personal fav was Heather I think she totally got the shaft for her disorder. They kept her there longer so it didn't look bad on them giving her the boot earlier in the show. I do agree that Chantal should not have been in the final 2 what was that about! I used to enjoy this show now it is getting a bit non-reality. Take Care All

I think that Saleisha won it becouse she deseverd it she was by far the most prettiest and the best she had the most personality out of them all. i am glade she won she is most diffinetly feirce and she will own the title and work it.i loved to watch her on the show.GO Seleisha

I think that there were a lot of wrong choices on this season...If you looked back at the portfolios of the top 4, Jenah and Heather had the best shots overall, and really should have been in the final two....My favorite was Heather actually.......but I think that both of them will get as much work as they WANT...that is the key. Chantal will be a busy girl I believe, and wish her well... Shaleisha's photos never impressed me really, she just seemed average...while I would not have chosen her I do wish her much success and hope that she does well in her dream job!!

Saleisha's pictures were terrible. If she hadn't been in Tyra's T-Zone camp, she would have never even made it onto the show. Jenah should have won hands down. Their pictures say it all.

I am so disappointed with this cycle of ANTM!!! I don't think that Saleisha deserved to win, don't get me wrong she is a pretty girl and all but her pictures were horrible majority of the time (so not high fashion). The final 2 I think not, but hey we all know why Tyra kept her (T-zone) despite what some might say. I do wish her the best of luck and success in her future endeavours. My all time favorite was Lisa and Heather, Bianca should have went home the first time she was in the bottom 2, the top 4 lets be serious. Tyra get it together!

It really wasn't fair that Saleisha was even in the competition. She's already been in a tv commercial for Wendy's and was at Tyra's T-Zone camp. I think she's very pretty and was the best of the bunch however I also think they may have wanted another black winner and groomed Saleisha from the start.

well u know top model last night was so stupid cuz jenah had that in the bad really when she got elimanated i didnt even finsh watchin the show Saleisha is concited and really so stuck up u saw her in the 1st couple of episode thinkin she was the bomb but really shes not i mnean lisa,heather, or jenah should of won but no this season winner is so stupid i dont think girls can related to her unless ur stuck up too so yea whatever..............

Saleisha definitely deserved to win. I loved Heather, but she couldn't do go-sees or commercials, which are what very important. Jenah took amazing pictures but had a horrible attitude. Chantal took ok pictures, but had a very stiff walk and tripped a poor guy lol. That leaves Saleisha, who's the perfect cover girl, takes great pictures, and has an amazing runway walk. GO SALEISHA!

Saliesha gra u diserved ta win. if people say u wasnt the best then they must be jealous. gra u did that runway chantel ant have nuthin on u. u was fierce and gave it your all. i could tell that this was your life because u proved to the judges that you could take the title of americas next top model. and i really liked your cover girl camercial and i also liked your photo. sum day ima be just like u and have the title americas nxt top model. i have always wanted to be a model. i know its hard but if u did it gra den i could to because any thing is possible and ima follow my dreams . Hands dwmn u won that whole compitition.

While Saleisha may not be the most "high fashion" girl out there, if I had to pick between her and Chantal, I would definitely choose Saleisha. She has personality and she takes amazing pictures, and yes she has been in a commercial before, but at the beginning you couldn't even tell!!! She started out horribly. Chantal on the other hand started out great, but the fact of the matter is she doesn't know what the heck she is doing! Modeling does come natural to her, if she's sitting down. On the catwalk, Saleisha stomped Chantal to death. Even without the fact that Chantal nearly killed an innocent "extra" Saleisha had that fashion show in the bag from the get-go!

So what if Saleisha did T-Zone!!!!! That has nothing to do with being ANTM! In all actuality, they didn't even have to mention that she was in T-zone if it was going to affect their decision. And being in a commercial, does not make a top model...that makes you a commercial girl.

Over all I’ve fell this season was very disappointing the contestants were kind of disappoint this year however I think. The real problem with this season was Tyra I felt like she did not care anymore and she was just there to get a pay check. I miss the plus size Tyra who sent the whole of last year saying “So what” and telling all the judgement people out there to kiss her fat ass. Now it looks like she drop the 25 pounds of fat from her ass and now has just become and ass. And she become so judgemental of people I really did not like the way she treated ebony and jenha just because they felt home sick and don’t put on a fake smile when they r in front of the judges. I felt like she does not take into account that these are young girls in there teen who probably never been away from home for that length of time. So I think that all antm fan and Tyra fan should protest that next cycle they bring back the Plus size Tyra with the plus size personality we all know and love. That Tyra did not take herself to seriously she would dress up as a drag queen and a kangaroo and pretend to faint. Now I know at the time it was not funny but after whole cycle of having to cope with out crazy plus size Tyra I miss her and wont her to come back before it turn me off ANTM forever

I think Saleisha should have won because she is the total package and she took in the critics from the judges and applied them to her photo shoots. She has a great body personality and a humble spirit, so good luck and much success!!!

Saleisha should have won! Jenna's teeth were not up to par and Chantal was not smart enough. I wanted to see Bianca is the final two but we all know how Tyra can do some wierd things.

I think it's so strange that people keep saying Saleisha had the best personality. She seemed fake to me and does anyone remember the Red Bull incident?? I think she tailored her personality to fit what the judges wanted. People say "she took in what the judges said and their criticism" and I think she just molded herself into someone she's not. That being said Jenah was my favorite she never tried to hide herself and her pictures were amazing. Wish I could have seen her on the final runway!

I definitely think Saleisha should have won. She was way more personable and I think her pictures were more appealing. I didn't like Jenha at all- and Chantal seemed.. too.. ditzy to me. She's a really nice girl, but not mature enough to handle the real fashion world. I don't think the whole "prior experience" stuff would have been a problem if she didn't win. Why didn't people stand up in the first place? It's their fault she won- if they believed she shouldn't be there they should have spoken up two months ago.

i think that Jennah deserved to win. Saleisha is not high fashion. she's too short. Jennah is flawless. Good pix too. The judges didnt do well this year. It kind of sucked!!!!!!!!!!

Saleisha stole that title from Chantal! She did not deserve to win AT ALL. Her pictures were so weak, half the time she had no neck, and she had an ugly haircut! i'll admit she had a really good walk on the final runway, but she is not the prettiest in her face or her personality. Heather or Jenah should have won. Did anyone notice that Heather was still the Covergirl of the week even AFTER she was sent home? Tyra made a bad choice w/ Saleisha. Overall this season sucked, and Saleisha winning was just the icing on this crappy cake.

Cycle 9 was disappointing. Jenah was the best model by far, yet Tyra didn't like her so she didn't win. Saliesha was definitely the weaker model, yet she was Tyra's favorite, a fact Tyra really didn't try to hide. Jenah was right when she said the competition was turning into a personality, not a modelling competition. I think the contract needs to be looked at again to see how fair Saleisha's win was.

Jenah all the way! Tootie is disgusting :/ and her pictures were consistently horrible.

By far the least enjoyable season in Top Model history! As much as I detested Bianca as a model and as a personality on the show at least she would have earned the title, had she been in the final two, of her own merit and not due to some major BSing on the part of producers and judges. Saleisha is a boring and yawn worthy model. There is nothing in her that I find innately fantastic. She does the same stupid expressions like Natasha only with the ability to speak english, but with the inability to be articulate. Tyra you're always saying a Top Model needs to articulate; well this girl you crowned winner cannot articulate to save her life and she says the same stuff over and over again. I previously and naively thought that this was a competition that was fair and equal to each of the contestants, but by allowing someone who has what appears to be a lot of modeling experience (As an actress I count the Wendy's commercial as modeling not acting. She was just sitting there trying to look pretty. That's not acting. She's no Charlie Chaplin!). Nice job choosing the least worthy girl of the bunch. Maybe she'll end up working and with a better career than any of your other models that have won. She is the least deserving this season of the title and think that there were other girls with so much more potential and prettier than Saleisha. At least Kimberly can take good photos without the help of ANTM and look beautiful. I have not completely lost faith in this show, but I sure as hell will be more observant and less naive about the contestants that are placed in the competition. Not entirely sure that I will watch all of next season. I will give it a chance, but I think my interest in this show is over and has been dwindling since Cycle 7. We'll see.

Saleisha should not have been on the show, let alone won. T-Zone is relevant because Tyra runs that camp and Saleisha remained tight with Tyra ever since: she's walked the runway in Cycle 6 and she's also walked in the Tyra Banks Show. Even if it were not rigged, it's a HUGE conflict of interest for Tyra to be prior friend and employer of a contestant.

Proof that this was a concern: the Wendy's commercial. It's against the eligibility rules to have done print and TV ads within the past 5 years and Saleisha had done both -- but since she's BFF with Tyra she managed to get on the show and win it, anyway.

Saleisha is probably the worst ANTM winner ever. Jenah and Heather should have been in the final 2.

I was disappointed when I saw the finale of cycle 9. In my opinion, Saliesha had some of the weakest pictures in the history of Top Model, but she could walk. I won't even try to deny her walk. She beat out Chantal in the fashion show fair and square, but I question how she made it into the final two. Jenah and Heather had some of the strongest photos in the entire competition, they never took a bad picture. Saliesha, on the other hand, continuously struggled and barely made it through some of the earlier weeks because her photos were so blah. I think that her previous experience and relationship to Tyra are irrelevant and people should look at the show as a whole. How often has the right person won? Not very. It is becoming increasingly apparent that the show is possibly rigged and definitely biased. Saleisha was probably the person who needed to win the most out of the top five though. I am sure that Jenah and Heather will have no problem booking photo shoots and that Chantal and Bianca as well will find work. Saleisha is the one girl who would have a very difficult time finding work, so the prize winnings will be most beneficial to her. She may not have been he best, but she is the one who needed to win the most. Best of luck to all the girls. I hope to see Jenah and Heather in magazines soon.

The whole thing seems sneaky because they didn't tell us(the fans). They told us about T-zone but then left out the other stuff (being on the Tyra show twice, the fact that she had modeled on a ANTM runway show, her spot in the Wendy commerical and as a extra on Ugly Betty). If they had just been honest about it I think that we wouldn't feel tricked and be wondering if she cheated. Personally I didn't think that she should win, but people who I didn't think were the strongest have won in the past (like I thought Melrose was a way stronger model even if she had less fans). Because they didn't give us ALL the facts and just some the whole thing seems fishy.

I think that Tyra should be fired as a judge. Forget everything else but if you let a contestant that you know personally win you have broken all the rules of being a judge. Contestants can't enter beauty pagents or any type of competition if they know the judge. It's also why most companies that hold competitions exclude their employees and realitives of their employees and even onetime employees from competing in them. it's for this exact reason. She broke the rules and it wasn't fair. Tyra should not be back for next season. Hands down.

Chantal was the best, she had the most commercial but at the same time glamourous look of all the contestants. She was HUGELY TALL! and gorgeously pretty, and her personality ruled the entire competition. Saleisha won because she was friends with Tyra!
