Grammy Performances – Kanye West Steals the Show!

There were many great performances during last night's Grammy Awards (Beyonce/Tina Turner and Amy Winehouse to name a few) but there was one performance that definitely made last night's event a memorable one.

Kanye West performed a heart-felt rendition of his hit song Hey Mama (introduced by his current hit Stronger) for his mom who passed away in November of last year.

Afterwards, while accepting an award, Kanye's speech ran a little long and the music started playing to encourage him to wrap it up just as he started talking about his mom.

West, ticked off that he couldn't finish his speech, told whoever was in charge of playing the music that it would "be in good taste to turn the music off now" as he continued to address his mom.

The music stopped and Kanye was allowed to finish dedicating his award to his mother.

Beyonce and Tina Turner also lit up last night's awards with their energetic performance to Rolling On The River as well as Carrie Underwood, who performed Think Before He Cheats, and Alicia Keys who performed her hit song No One alongside John Mayer.

Who do you think delivered the best performance of the night?

Kanye's genius lyrics paying tribute to his mom include her taking care of him when he had the flu with a couple bowls of chicken soup! What a talentless joke. He should have respected his mother more by spending more than 3 minutes on writing that sorry excuse for a song. The only thing "amazing" about that performance is that producers actually allowed him air time. Sorry about his loss, but give us a break.

That's really rude. I feel bad for you. Your life must suck quite a bit for you to have so much anger towards someone who is hurting. The world needs less people like you, that's for sure.

Totally agree. Other people have feelings than just you. That song was amazing, he put his heart and soal into it. You don't even know him he has done so much more that just a write a song. Get a life and stop being such a cold hearted bitch.
