Tony Romo Speaks Out About Jessica Simpson, Gets Support from Sophia Bush!

Tony Romo spoke with Dallas Morning News about his relationship with Jess and his love for the game of football.

On the media portraying Jessica as a distraction during football season:

"I don't care about perception," Tony said. "People like to believe everything they read and hear and stuff, but I'm content in my own skin."

On Sunday's game against the New York Giants:

"I try to do two things in my life," he says. "One is to work really hard at football and the other is to try and be a good person. If I do those two things, I can sleep at night, always - no matter what the outcome is."

Despite rumors that Tony's ex-flame Carrie Underwood is mocking his relationship with Jessica, Romo's other ex, One Tree Hill star Sophia Bush, has nothing but good things to say about Tony - and his new love.

"The thing that amuses me is because, at the moment, he's dating a celebrity, people want to say that he's less of an athlete," Sophia said at the FUZE/ Resolution Slenderize bash in Hollywood Wednesday night. "But I don't know a whole lot of athletes that have a record like Tony's."

And she seems to think Jess and Tony make a great couple.

"People need to give them a break," she says.

"They're very well suited for each other. They're very happy, and that makes me happy for him."

At least one of Romo's ex-girlfriends has something nice to say!
