Prince Harry Sent Home After Media Blowout!
Prince Harry: Photo Credit: Photo Pool/Anwar Hussein Collection/ WENNYesterday, news broke that Prince Harry had been fighting on the front line, causing media frenzy all over the world.
After a few foreign websites leaked the information, UK media outlets followed suit, potentially putting the prince's safety at risk.
The chief of the general staff and head of the British Army, Sir Richard Dannat expressed his disappointment in the situation:
"I am very disappointed that foreign websites have decided to run this story without consulting us."
And the websites may not have known it at the time, but they ultimately destroyed Prince Harry's opportunity to continue serving duty in Afghanistan.
The ministry of defense confirmed that Prince Harry had been sent home from war after yesterday's incident.
"Following a detailed assessment of the risks by the operational chain of command, the decision has been taken ... to withdraw Prince Harry from Afghanistan immediately," the Defense confirmed in a statement.
"This decision has been taken primarily on the basis that the worldwide media coverage of Prince Harry in Afghanistan could impact on the security of those who are deployed there, as well as the risks to him as an individual soldier."
There's no word on when Harry is expected to arrive back in the UK.
