PETA Furious over Olsen Twin Ignorance

Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen have become the target of PETA's new ad campaign, urging men and women to stop sporting fur.

The animal rights group is furious that Hollywood's most popular set of twins - or as PETA likes to call them "Hairy-Kate" and "Trashley" - not only wear fur on a consistent basis but have also included fur designs in their fashion line.

The ad campaign, called "Fur is Worn by Beautiful Animals and Ugly People," will run in a variety of magazines and is expected to raise awareness to fur-clad men and women all over the world.

The organization released this statement in regards to their attack on the Olsen twins:

"No one would argue that Mary-Kate and Ashley could use some meat on their bones, but the last thing they need is hair on their backs."

Wow, that's harsh.

Beyonce, Paris, Nicole, JLo, Britney, Lilo and Angelina Jolie are just a few of the celebs known to don authentic fur pieces from time to time.

Wonder if they'll experience the wrath of PETA in the future as well?

here we go again. Aren't there other things to get up in arms about? The Olsen twins are into vintage so I'm guessing they are wearing "recycled" fur. hehe Entertainment news is so loud these days. I cringe when I see all the photos and loud headlines in the check-out line. Aren't the things happening in your own life and your own inner circle pretty fun, interesting, important?

If I was PETA's older brother, I would lock them in the basement for being so annoying. Let people wear what they want. Why not take up a noble cause like the fight against crime, the homeless population, world hunger, etc? There are far too many more important issues to be dealt with, than bad-mouthing people who wear fur.

jeremy what are you talking about? Animal protection is really important. And the condonence of crimes against animals is proven to lead to a greater chance of human crimes. Fur isn't about the individual animal- it's about the attitude.

PETA is a terrorist organization that objectifies women. Every time I hear about their newest campaign it makes me want to run out an buy a fur coat or eat a chicken sandwich.

I think that brit has gone through some tough times but that shes comming round and will hopefully stay that way and take good care of her kids and keep trying to win them back but Brit, Dont blow it with your kids, they need you!
