Patrick Swayze Cancer Battle – 5 Weeks to Live?

Exclusive: Shocking reports that actor Patrick Swayze has been battling pancreatic cancer since January and has only five weeks to live surfaced this morning in an exclusive story released by The National Enquirer.

The National Enquirer has reported a number of seemingly false stories over the years and we sincerely hope that this is another.

"For the past month, Patrick, 55, has been traveling to Stanford University's prestigious cancer center in Palo Alto for radical chemotherapy, but his doctors are no longer optimistic that the treatments will be successful," states the magazine, which also reveals that the actor is not responding to the treatment.

An insider reportedly told the mag that "He was told he could have two more treatments, but his cancer was not responding. In short - they held out little hope for a cure."

One of the greatest actors of his time, Swayze, 55, is in the hearts of many, I'm sure. Our thoughts and prayers are with Patrick, his family and his friends.

Update: Patrick's publicist confirms the story but says they are optimistic about treatment.
