Nicole Richie and Joel Madden – Proud Parents of a Baby Girl!

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden welcomed their beautiful baby girl Friday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles (a week earlier and Britney Spears would have stolen the limelight at the hospital).

"The beautiful healthy baby girl left the hospital with her ecstatic parents."

Nicole, who has struggled with drug problems in the past, says that pregnancy has transformed her into a more mature person.

"When I found out that I was pregnant, there was just something inside of me that felt a responsibility to mend any issues that I've had with my parents in the past, because, listen, I've put them through a lot," she said.  

And wedding bells are definitely in the future for this happy couple, they're just not sure when.

Last September, Joel told reporters that he plans to marry Richie, but they were taking time to focus on the baby before they jumped into marriage.

Coincidentally, Christina Aguilera gave birth just minutes later, at the same hospital, just yards away.
