Miley Cyrus Defends Jamie Lynn’s Decision to Keep the Baby!

Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus has had her fair share of criticism these past few months, which may be the reason she is so quick to defend Jamie Lynn Spears' pregnancy.

Miley and Jamie have a lot in common, both obtaining a significant amount of success in their early teens, but Miley told reporters that she was "sad" when she heard about her friend's pregnancy.

But the teenage superstar was quick to defend Spears' decision to keep the baby and praise her for how she handled the situation.

"I really respect her for taking it the classy route," she says of her friend who was truthful about her condition from the very beginning.

Miley also says that Jamie is taking some time to herself right now, remaining out of the spotlight as much as possible.

"She's turned her phones off. She's like doing her thing. I think she's really just kind of like trying to figure herself out, which I think is a good way to start 2008."

Not a bad word to say about anyone.

Miley Cyrus definitely is a sweetheart.

i dont think jamie should have even gottten pregnant shes too young but im sure shes a very nice girl with a big heart ill difend her yeah but even though she made that wrong decision people need to leave her alone and get on with their life not worrying about her life so move on jamie dont let this put pressure on you make your choice luv ur fan nina dingui!

I'm happy for Jamie Lynn even though she's in this situation. But all we can do is pray for her and the baby's health and her family's well being. But the #1 person who needs prayer right now is Britney. I really hope everything is going well with the spears family! You have my prayers! ~Maria~

i just want to let lynn know that she dosent need the stress of the world on her shoulders. she is young and she has made it this far leave her alone! i am 17 and i also got prego at sixteen. being a mom saved my life from all the awful things that could have happened but jusy know thatgod wanted you to have this baby maybe eveb to save your life to. might not seem like it right now me and my baby's father (his name is casey too) are so happy together it takes sometime to get to that point but look to your BABY FOR HOPE. good luck
