Lindsay Lohan - New York Mag Shoot, Desperate Plea for Attention!

Lindsay Lohan has been trying desperately to make a huge career comeback and her latest attempt is evident in the new issue of New York magazine.

Lilo poses (nude) as Marilyn Monroe in the coveted edition of the highly popular magazine, but many are dubbing her latest piece of work as a desperate plea for publicity - and we think they might be on to something.

When asked about the death of Marilyn Monroe, Lohan referred to the situation as tragic.

She then added "you know, it's also tragic what just recently happened to someone else."

When asked if she was referring to Heath Ledger (who Lindsay had been romantically linked with at the end of last year), she replied with "They are both prime examples of what this industry can do to someone."

And while many speculate that the troubled star may be headed down the same path, she insists that's not the case.

"I'm not them ... I sure as hell wouldn't let it happen to me," she tells the magazine.

Lohan's erratic behavior last year could have landed her the same fate as Heath and Marilyn on more than one occasion - was she intoxicated while giving the interview.

The National Ledger refers to Lilo's Ledger comparison as "nothing more than a way of getting more attention for her in the buff photos."
