Lauren Conrad and Jason Wahler – Not Destined to Reunite

The 21-year-old aspiring fashion designer and leading lady on MTV's The Hills has had nothing but bad luck when it comes to dating and relationships.
Lauren's reality television debut was on the first season of Laguna Beach where Conrad (then known primarily as "LC") spent months drooling over Stephen Colletti just to have him stolen by Kristin Cavallari, her high school rival turned reality TV whore.
Lauren quickly rebounded from Stephen to Laguna Beach bad boy, Jason Wahler. Lauren and Jason spent over a year dating and even moved into together for a summer before deciding to end their relationship and go their separate ways.
But while Lauren claims that breaking up with Jason was "the hardest thing she's ever had to do," it was definitely the right decision at the time. After their breakup, Jason was arrested on several occasions for offenses like being drunk in public and drinking underage and even spent a significant amount of time in rehab.
But the shocking twist came last week when Jason made a surprise appearance on an episode of The Hills. While a reunion between the former lovebirds was looking promising, this week Jason dropped a bomb on Lauren - one she was definitely not expecting.
Jason not only informed Lauren that he had been dating USC student Katja Decker-Sadowski for over six months but also informed her that he was engaged as well. Kablam!
Lauren was shocked.
Needless to say, LC and Katja met at the engagement party where the two girls exchanged catty looks for the majority of the night.
Looks like Jason's pulling a Spencer!
Does anyone take marriage seriously anymore?
