Kanye West Breaks Down During Performance in Paris

Just days after his mom had passed away after fatal complications as a result of a cosmetic surgery procedure, the truly dedicated star returned to the stage for his first performance since the loss.  

And while Kanye seemed to think he was ready, his actions on stage revealed otherwise.

It wasn't until the music for his hit song Hey Mama (which he wrote for his mom) began playing that Kanye showed the first signs of heartbreak. And once it was time for West to start singing the lyrics, the 30-year-old rapper broke down completely.

Kanye buried his head in his hands and stood completely still on stage as thousands of fans screamed his name. A few minutes later, West's band mates consoled him and, eventually, the rapper left the stage.

But that wasn't the end of the show. Kanye took a few minutes to grieve and returned to the stage to perform his latest hit Stronger.

It takes a remarkably dedicated artist to get back on stage so soon after losing a loved one.
