Jessica Simpson wants to be Carrie Underwood?

Now, we're not sure if it's intentional or not but someone should tell Jess that she's making herself look extremely desperate by mimicking Carrie Underwood's every move.

The 27-year-old singer's career has hit rock bottom since her divorce from Nick Lachey a few years ago. But a new man and a new take on her singing career may have her at the top of the charts again in no time. It's too bad none of her ideas are original and have all been executed by Carrie Underwood already.

It's a well-known fact that, in the showbiz industry, if your career gets in a rut you just latch on to someone whose career is seriously successful at the time.

Fortunately for Jess, she's dating Dallas Cowboys' quarterback Tony Romo. Too bad Carrie had Tony last year and ditched him. Jess seems to be enjoying Carrie's sloppy seconds in the love department, don't you think?

Then, when the media realizes that you're feeding off of your boyfriend's publicity, you suddenly realize that you have to actually start getting your career back on track yourself. Perhaps you switch from making pop albums to making country albums. Good choice for Jess, except Carrie Underwood is already one step ahead of her.

It seems like Jess is trying really hard to get her life back on track, I just wish she'd make her own choices.

She's had years to make a country album, so why is she choosing to do one now?

There are a million men she could date, so why does it have to be Tony Romo?

It all seems like too much of a coincidence to me. Jess is starting to look like Carrie Underwood's little puppy dog.

Does anyone else see how desperate this is making Jessica look? Can she not see it herself?
