Jessica Simpson’s Country Album will Knock your Boots Off!

She's been talking about it for a while now, but pop singer Jessica Simpson has finally started work on her upcoming country album, which she insists will knock your cowboy boots right off your feet.

Jess is getting back to her roots (she's from Texas) with a completely new album with a unique country twist. In fact, it's not just a twist of country - the whole album will feature country songs, many that the starlet plans to write on her own.

"I grew up in Texas, and country music was what I listened to. I always wanted to wait until the time was right."

What makes now the right time for Jess to make her mark on the country scene?

Perhaps it's her crashing acting career. The blonde bombshell has starred in three movies over the past few years - all which have completely flopped in theaters.

Her latest movie, Blonde Ambition, is only playing in a few movie theaters in Texas and made only $365 in its first week of release.

But what will the other country stars like Faith Hill, Martina McBride and Toby Keith think of Jessica's turnover into the world of country?

Guess we'll have to wait and see.
