Jessica Simpson Not Responsible for Dallas Cowboys Loss!

Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo have both received a lot of flak over the past month for leaping into a serious relationship while Tony was supposed to be focusing on the NFL play-offs.

And, after Jessica was dubbed a distraction for attending a game the Cowboys happened to lose, the pressure became so much that she decided to forgo last night's big game against the Giants.

The 27-year-old singer, who has tried to avoid the gossip surrounding her relationship with Romo, missed out on watching her boyfriend play the biggest game of the year last night and yet, somehow, she's still being blamed for last night's 21-17 loss.

Jessica Simpson/ Tony RomoBut Jess isn't the only one dealing with the pressure of the relationship - Romo had to face reporters after last night's game - reporters who seemed more focused on his personal life than his career.

Here's what Romo had to say after the game:

When asked about his decision to spend his week off with Jess in Mexico:

"I thought I was making a good decision by not going to Vegas and drinking for two or three days."

On feeling responsible for last night's loss:

"It hurts, you know.  Remembering all of the things you do to put yourself in the position to succeed. . . . When you don't come through, especially if you're in the quarterback position, it's a really tough pill to swallow. It really is."

Romo's teammate Terrell Owens, who jokingly said that Jessica "was not a fan favorite" after her appearance at their game, defended his fellow Cowboy with this message for reporters:

"You guys can point the finger at him and talk about the vacation, but if you do that, it's really unfair.  We lost as a team. We lost as a team."

Now that the season is over, Tony and Jess can spend as much time as they want together.

See, it's a happy ending for everyone...

I think its stupid that she's getting blamed. It's ridiculous. The whole team played bad - its not Tonys fault and its definitely not jessicas!

I totally agree, it's neither of their faults. Its not like they got crushed...it was a pretty close game
