Jessica Simpson May Have a Shot with Romo’s Competitor, Michael Strahan

Jessica Simpson has been getting a lot of flak from the Dallas Cowboys football team over the past few weeks but, if things don't work out between her and Tony Romo, there's a Giants' player who may be willing to give the songstress a shot at love.

Football veteran Michael Strahan not only jumped to the defense of Romo and his relationship with pop Michael Strahansinger Jessica Simpson, but also hinted that he might be interested in dating Jess - if things don't work out between her and Romo.

"I think anybody who thinks that because he took a few days with his girlfriend that he is going to come back and not play well or he is not going to be prepared, if anything it probably stokes his fire to play even better," says Strahan when asked about Romo and Simpson's recent trip to Mexico at a news conference on Thursday.

"So for them to go to Cabo or wherever they went, good for them. They deserve that time off."

And as for whether or not Michael would put himself in the same position as Romo, Strahan left his answer in the air.

"Heck, if Jessica Simpson wanted to date me, I may give her a shot," said the recently divorced player.

I'm sure Jess will be thrilled to know she "may" have a shot with the gap-toothed star.
