Jessica Simpson Hotter as Blonde or Brunette?

For the majority of her pop career, Ms. Simpson has been sporting her signature blonde locks but, for a brief period in time, the ditzy diva was experimenting with the dark side.

Throughout her marriage with Nick Lachey, Jessica toyed with all shades of blonde. From bleach blonde to dirty blonde, the pop princess pretty much pulled off every tone to a tee.

After her divorce, Jess decided to debut a new look - one more intriguing for bad boy musicians like John Mayer.

For the majority of Jessica and John's relationship Simpson, 27, was brunette.

Whether the dark locks were a sign of mourning (from her divorce) or an attempt to change her look for a certain someone (Mayer, who, for the record, usually dates brunettes as opposed to blondes), it wasn't long after their breakup that Jess resorted back to her signature blonde tresses.

And we're glad she did!
