Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge - Happily Ever After?

Unexpectedly getting knocked up at the tender age of 16 isn't exactly the picture perfect fairytale every little girl hopes for, but Jamie Lynn Spears and her 19-year-old boyfriend, Casey Aldridge, are embracing the news with open arms.

"I was in complete and total shock, and so was he," Jamie told OK! magazine.

Jamie Lynn Spears/ Casey Aldridge"As soon as I found out for sure from the doctor, I took two weeks to myself where I didn't tell anybody. Only one of my friends knew because I needed to work out what I would do for myself before I let anyone's opinion affect my decision.

"Then I told my parents and my friends. I was scared, but I had to do what was right for me."

Jamie has decided to keep the baby and hopes that her decision will not affect her role on Nickelodeon's Zoey 101.

"I haven't spoken to [Nickelodeon] personally, but they have always been so great to me over the past years and have given me so many opportunities."

And while Casey Aldridge, Jamie's boyfriend who she met at church, has yet to speak out about the news, Jamie has a good idea of what she wants for her baby.

The 16-year-old actress wants to raise her child in her home state of Louisiana "so it can have a normal family life," she says.

It's not everyone's idea of a picture perfect life but they seem to be doing the best they can, considering the circumstances.

Best of luck to Jamie and Casey - they're gonna need it.

Think about it! I'm pretty sure she is NOT the FIRST hollywood starlet to get pregnant as a teen....She's just the first responsible ONE! And 70% of 16 year old are having sex....some are getting pregnant some arent. some are keeping there babies some are getting abortions. That's life and she chose life for her baby! And that is a good thing

I agree. I think she is just following her sisters footsteps and I wonder how long she will be able to keep the child like her sister. We don't even know if her boyfriend wants to keep the baby. And plus it is illegal for them to be having sex anyway so technically it's rape. want to argue there? Also, her role on Zoey 101 is done. There is no way you can have a pregnant girl on a TV that middle school and younger kids watch. She is done just like her sister.

um yeah i thought she was the normal one too but hey things happen. hopefully she HANDLES it better than britney. thats the real test of it all, other than that...i fully support. cuz im confident about one thing...she gotta better head on her shoulders when if comes to circumstances like these and prolly wont be a bad mother. she seems to have lots of support n love for her. and thats the key ingredient to handeling anything the right way.

Normal? She's just like every other teenager- having sex and being careless. Just because you don't end up pregnant doesn't mean you are "normal." Just because she and her sister have made decisions that have proven them to be real people and not untouchable icons like people think they are, they get a bad rap. Casey Aldridge is only 18, not 19. Since he is less than 2 years older than Jamie Lynn, at most it would be a misdemeanor, if even that. Stop calling the guy an effing sex offender, you bunch of hypocrites! How many of you people are dating/married/sleeping with people who are exactly your age? Were you all virgins before you got married? At least she's stepping up, keeping the baby as opposed to getting an abortion, and raising it home in Louisiana with her family and the baby's father instead of in Hollywood LaLaLand like her sister. Besides, this chick is probably loaded from all her television work, so it's not like she's gonna be on welfare and WIC.
