The Hills star and her manager / boyfriend, Spencer Pratt, are breaking their backs trying to get Heidi's debut video released - but breaking the bank just isn't an option.

Unlike most new singers trying to make it in the music industry, Heidi and Spencer have opted out of hiring expert video producers and have chosen to make the video themselves. Sound like a recipe for disaster? Trust us, it is.

TMZ caught the newly made over singer and her boyfriend / manager / producer on a beach where Heidi did her best to look sexy but was noticeably unsuccessful.

Wondering where the camera crew, dancers and directors are? No need for any of that nonsense - all this duo needs is a wireless boom box, a low-end camera and a false perception that this might actual be a good idea.

The video appears to be shot in a variety of locations - all on the same beach, of course.

And as Heidi moves from the water, to the shoreline to a barricade of rocks on the shoreline, her biggest fan (or should we say only fan), packed up the boom box and followed her around like a little puppy dog. 

The dynamic duo spent hours filming under the scorching hot sun.

It's so sad they're putting so much effort into this - as though the video has a chance in hell of being successful.
