Heath Ledger Toxicology Reports Set for Release

Friends, family and fans of Heath Ledger may be given insight as to the cause of the actor's untimely death when the final toxicology reports are released today or tomorrow.

The New York Chief Medical Examiner's Office confirmed today that they were close to revealing the reason for Ledger's death.

Ellen Borakove, director of public affairs at the New York Chief Medical Examiner's office, told AAP today that they're "expecting something in the next two days."

But some aspects of the beloved actor's death will remain a mystery.

"Not the time of death," Borakove replied, when asked about which details of the report will be made public.

According to the director of public affairs, the cause and manner of death are the only pieces of the report that will be released to the public.

Whether or not the reports will provide insight remains unknown.

It's not uncommon for final toxicology reports to also come back inconclusive, according to police.

Hopefully the reports will lay a number of negative rumors to rest.

Why is this even anyone's business. as far as I'm concerned this should also be kept private. This is NOT police investigation.

It is a police matter if there is foul play involoved, you know, like if he was murdered or something. People as in fans have a right to know if he died due to a small error on his part such as taking too many sleeping pills by accident or if in fact someone did something and it was covered up or at least people thought it was "ok" because of all the stories I have been reading I am starting to question his cause of death myself.

but it's not a police matter, they have already ruled out foul play, so why do fans (to which I'm one) have to know? When you think about it, it really isn't our business. I really think this should be between the coroner's office and his family. Thanks for replying.

I am a huge fan of Heath Ledger and, if nothing else, I think the public should be notified so that some of the horrible rumors can be put to rest. So much bad press has happened since and for his name to be cleared of all the rumors would be satisfying to his fans, fmaily and friends.

the rumours will be there whether this report comes out or not. The damage has already been done by the vultures. I just leave the family alone, and let them grieve. They are the only ones who should know what the toxicolgy reports says. Our interest and curiosity doesn't matter. I am so saddened that Heath has left us so young. Let him just rest. That's all he really wanted to get some rest.

I am a huge huge fan!!!!!!!! Heath was an amazing actor, so much heart and intensity. I can't believe he is gone. I will remain a loyal and sad fan No matter what comes from the toxicology reports. He was only human and deserves much respect. Rest in peace you will be missed! Thank You!
