Heath Ledger Leaves Fortune to Daughter

Heath Ledger loved many things in life (including his career, his friends and his love for the game of chess) but he loved his 2-year-old daughter Matilda more than anything else.

Ledger's death was a shock to everyone but the 28-year-old actor was prepared in case anything bad happened.

He was constantly photographed trotting her around town on his shoulders and laughing while they played in the park together. She meant the world to him and it's clear that she always will.

Heath evidently told a reporter in November of last year that being a father to his little girl made him "feel good about dying now, because I feel like I'm alive in her."

That, perhaps, is the reason Heath named his daughter as the primary heir of his fortune.

A source close to Heath told Life & Style magazine that "his daughter's the primary heir. She won't have to worry about money for the rest of her life."

And it's true.

Heath was earning up to $3 million per film for his latest flicks and had built up quite a fortune working in the industry for so many years.

Matilda will be financially stable - but all the money in the world money won't replace her daddy.

Luckily, she'll have Michelle (Heath's ex-fiancée and mother of Matilda) - who will undoubtedly take great care of her precious little girl.

It's true no matter how much money Heath left to Matilda...that won't bring him back...
