Heath Ledger Funeral – Jake Gyllenhaal Expected to Show

It's been just over two weeks since the tragic death of actor Heath Ledger and friends and family are arriving in Perth Australia for their final goodbye.

Heath's parents and older sister arrived back in Perth earlier this week after flying to the United States to attend a number of memorial services for the beloved actor.

Jake Gyllenhaal: Photo Credit: Patricia Schlein/ WENNHeath's ex-fiancée Michelle Williams also arrived earlier this week, with Ledger's 2-year-old daughter Matilda.

And while Heath's best friend (and godfather of Matilda) Jake Gyllenhaal has been M.I.A since the death (reports claim that he's taking the death harder than most), he is expected to arrive in Australia for the funeral later this week.

Heath and Jake starred in Brokeback Mountain together, where the two men bonded on set and formed a very tight friendship.

Jake carried a photo of him and Heath in his wallet (even before his death) and pinned it up whern he was on location filming his current movie about a prisoner (apparently prisoners will hang up photos of their loved ones on the cell walls).

While many of Heath's friends and family have spent the past few weeks attending memorial services held for Ledger, Jake has remained secluded, trying his best to avoid the media while he deals with his best friend's death.

According to the The Sydney Morning, Jake is expected to arrive for the private funeral, which is reportedly scheduled for Saturday.

Michelle and Jake are the only celebrities expected to attend.
