Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams – Photos from the Past

Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams may have decided to call it quits in September of 2007 but that doesn't mean they weren't friends ‘til the very end. While Ledger and Williams may have decided to put their love on hold, they remained good friends and devoted parents to their 2-year-old daughter Matilda (who is absolutely adorable, by the way).

And with all of the negative press surrounding Heath Ledger's death, it's important to remember that Heath had a lot of people who loved him dearly - especially his ex-fiancee.

August 08, 2005

Heath and his former fiancée looked beaming with happiness as they entered the Director's Guild of America Theatre for the Brothers Grimm premiere in 2005. Michelle smirks playfully while looking into the eyes on a smiling Ledger.

November 30, 2005

Heath and Michelle enjoyed a private moment on the red carpet during the 15^th annual Gothem awards where they walked hand in hand, dressed in matching black attire. This photo was taken nearly two weeks after the birth of their beautiful daughter.

December 06, 2005

Michelle looked absolutely gorgeous in her petite black and white dress as she and Ledger attended the New York Premiere of Brokeback Mountain in late 2005. Heath and Michelle were accompanied to the premiere by Heath's good friend and godfather of their daughter, Jake Gyllenhaal.

Always smiling and having a good time, Heath and Michelle were one of Hollywood's favorite couples.

It's important to remember the good time, especially during times like this.

I really feel bad and I miss Heath even though I only knew him through tv, he was a brilliant actor. I wish someone could have helped him before it was to late. I will miss his acting and his presence.

I am very deeply upset about Heath Ledger's death, although I didn't know him personally. He comes across as a beautiful and gentle soul. In his recent photos, he did not look genuinely happy, at least not to me. There haven't been any confirmed reports about him being in depression though. However, I doubt that he would have committed suicide. All this is so tragic, I hope he has finally found peace, and that his family and friends find the strength to cope with this loss and find peace, too, and cherish his memories. RIP Heath, we'll really, really miss you.
