Did Casey Aldridge Break the Law by Having Sex with Jamie Lynn?

In all the controversy over Jamie Lynn Spears' pregnancy, no one is paying much attention to how old Casey Aldridge is. At 19, the father-to-be may have broken state law.

If the two paired up in her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana, the "Spearminator" may be looking at up to 6 months in prison for misdemeanor carnal knowledge of a juvenile (a.k.a statutory rape).

California: Jamie Lynn is often in Cali visiting big sis Britney, attending award shows, or filming Zoey 101. Tough luck if she was. State laws forbid any intercourse between people on opposite sides of 18.

Mississippi or Florida: She attends school in Mississippi, and Nickelodeon's studios are in Orlando. If Mama Lynn wasn't letting the couple have "freedom" at home, they could have been anywhere! The couple is lucky if they've been restricting their pleasure to these states where it isn't illegal for a 16-year-old and a 19-year-old to get it on.

If Jamie is telling the truth about being 12 weeks into it, filming would be wrapped, and the pair was probably at home. So our bet is on Louisiana, which could mean a strict penalty.

But is she telling the truth?

TMZ is reporting that Britney Jr. is more than 12 weeks along - so she could have been anywhere. And it could have been anyone. According to the Associated Press, Jamie Lynn told them around thanksgiving that she didn't even have a boyfriend.

Jamie needs to get her story straightened out, otherwise she'll crush our hopes of her being a better mommy than big sis Brit. If authorities investigate, then this baby could spend as much time with social workers as its big Spears cousins.

Does she have a choice in the matter though. I don't think its up to her if she wants to charge him, I think state law is state law and if they find out he broke it, he could be in trouble whether Jamie supports him or not. I'm not positive, but I think that's how it works. Anyone know for sure?

Who cares if they're going to get married. He broke the law and should have to serve time in jail. You think that Jamie Lynn would've learned from her sister's mistakes and been careful when engaging in sexual activity.

I think that she is setting a terrible example for younger girls! Although you have to give her credit for keeping the baby, not many teens would have done that, she could have very eaily aborted it. We just need to pray for her and wait for Mrs Spears book on parenting, maybe we'll all learn something.

Yes Jamie may be setting a bad example for younger girls but its life !! So those who say Her boyfriend should go too jail there must be something wrong with them. I also give props to Jamie and Mrs. Spears!!!!! Alot of moms who would find out there was pregnate they would kick the child out or take them straight to the doctor and abort. Hopfully Jamie will take this sistuation seriously and be more carefull with her actions. Lets just hope both Jamie and Casey will get through this easily and not badly. Mabey us girls would learn something from Jamie and how she handles this and how she takes care of her baby!!!

awww this is so sad... jamie lynn spears used to be more innocent than her sister and she even had her little show on nickolodean... now she had to get herself pregnant with a 19 year old guy. if the law says he should go to jail, off to jail he goes.

The question is, is it his? They won't know 'til a DNA test is done. So wait then. As for the this reporting the baby spending time with social workers, get updated. You have to prove her infit, age does not make her unfit. There are kids in far worse situations still living with their parents & have never spent anytime with social workers. Stop with the SCARE TACTICS, it's bull. It's sad that she screwed up this bad. My only advice, DON"T LISTEN TO WHOEVER (your manager or lawyer)who told you to lie. Because you lied in an interview, now the media is going to make you out to be a slut.

age does play a huge factor in this situation, she isnt just some girl who got knocked up at 16, she is well was a major role model for millions of kids. she wanted to play miss holly wood and she new the con of being in the public eye. she should of been smarter. the guy if it is his should go to jail. and she should stup up and prepare for being a mother, her life is about to change major. good thing is she has money to support it, but doenst make you a mother just yet. its takes a lot to be a GOOD mother

omg why would jamie lie about haveing a kid? and nickolodeon should not fire her and they should go on with zoey 101 because if they don't u know how much money they are going to lose?
