Britney Spears Turns Herself in to Police

Last night at approximately 9:25pm, Britney Spears made the best decision she's made in a long time; she booked herself for the infamous hit and run accident that took place on August 6.

The pop tart, decked out in dark sunglasses and an ultra-mini black dress, was charged in September with one count of hit and run causing property damage and one count of driving without a proper California driver's license.

The 25-year-old former Mousketeer appeared in good spirits as she entered the Van Nuys jail last night. And while Spears approached the confinement with a courteous, yet reserved smile on her face, she exited the premise in an even more cheerful mood.

According to TMZ.com, the LAPD insists the Toxic singer was polite, respectful and cooperative throughout the entire procedure. 

As the mother-of-two left, she was drilled for details by a swarm of paparazzi waiting patiently nearby. And, after a few short minutes of hounding, a subdued Spears finally responded sarcastically by saying "amazing."

Amazing?
