Britney Spears Strongly Advised to Attend Court Hearing Today!

Will Britney Spears take advantage of her last chance to regain custody of her two boys Sean Preston and Jayden James or will she end up making her usual trips to Starbucks and the gas station instead?

The 26-year-old former pop princess has been "strongly advised" by her lawyers to attend today's custody hearing, which is scheduled to discuss the stand-off outside her Los Angeles home on January 3.

Today is the day that we truly find out whether Brit-Brit's children come before everything else in her life.

L.A, family lawyer Scott Weston (who is not involved in the Spears case) told PEOPLE that "Britney needs to be there because it's much easier to defend your client if he/she is present to refute what witnesses say."

 

Is Britney Scheduled to Show?

No one knows whether the pop tart plans to attend the hearing but, according to K-Fed's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan, she had better make an appearance if she plans to regain any form of visitation.

The hearing was basically scheduled to allow Britney the opportunity to defend her actions on January 3. Failing to make an appearance at today's hearing will likely indicate to the courts that Sean and Jayden are not as important to Britney as she makes them seem.

 According to Kaplan, if Brit bails on today's hearing it's possible that she won't see her boys until April (when the custody trial is expected to start).

Will Britney make the right decision this time - or will she potentially ruin the chance to see her boys again?
