Britney Spears Steals Lighter, Paparazzo Pays!

The former pop icon, who became a millionaire before the tender age of 20, has been accused of stealing a lighter from a gas station over the weekend.

The lighter, with an asking price of a whopping $1.39, seemed to be too much cash for Brit-Brit to shell out.

A few weeks ago, reports surfaced that Hollywood's favorite train wreck stole four coats from designer Katja Berglund, totaling $28,200.

And just before that, workers at a local shop in LA claimed that the pop tart picked up a wig on her way out - and didn't dish a cent.

But Brit has nothing to worry about - her posse of paparazzi was standing by to bail her out this weekend.

According to TMZ, a photographer went back to the scene of the crime (the Chevron gas station in Sherman Oaks, California) to pay Spears' dues after she bailed.

Can someone please explain why a multi-millionaire can't pay $1.39 for a lighter?

If you can afford to smoke, you can afford to pay for the lighter - especially if you're Britney Spears.
