Britney Spears Married in Mexico? Not Likely!

That is the question on everyone's mind since Star Magazine reported that the 26-year-old pop tart tied the knot with her paparazzo boyfriend on a recent trip to Mexico.

But did Britney really marry Adnan Ghalib or is this just another dose of tabloid fodder, attempting to milk Britney Spears for all she's worth?

We think it's BS.

Here's the problem with Star's story:

First of all, even if Brit and Adnan did say "I Do" in sunny Mexico (which we don't think they did), the marriage would not be legal because her paparazzo boy-toy is still married to a British woman, who he is in the process of finalizing a divorce with.

Second of all, you can bet your spring wardrobe that, if the two wed, media moguls like TMZ or Perez Hilton would have secured documents of a valid marriage by now.

And besides, if we had a quarter for every inaccurate story printed by some of these tabloid magazines (we won't mention any specifically but I think it's clear in this case) then we'd be richer than Britney Spears and off in sunny Mexico ourselves.
