Britney Spears Leaves her Home – Is She Headed for Court?

Britney Spears' lawyers are trying desperately to ditch the crazy pop tart, but that doesn't mean they aren't hopeful of a surprise appearance by the chaotic superstar at this afternoon's court hearing.

Brit-Brit is making it practically impossible for her lawyers to win this case. Not only has she been told on a number of occasions that she needs to appear in court and fails to show, but her recent mental breakdown is making it extremely difficult for her lawyers to convince the courts that she's capable of being a good mother.

Britney Spears: Photo Credit: WENNToday's hearing is especially important when it comes to regaining visitation rights of her two boys, Sean Preston and Jayden James, because the courts setup the meeting so Britney could defend her actions outside her home on January 3.

Kind of hard to defend her actions when she has yet to show up in court.

While many sources state that the delusional diva has "no plans" on attending today's hearing, her lawyer says he's "hopeful" that Brit will show up for the afternoon session. Witnesses have already taken the stand and the parties are breaking for lunch now. Kevin arrived promptly as the hearing began and is also breaking for lunch at the moment.

Britney is said to have left her house now, which is a 20 minute drive from the courthouse.

Does Brit plan on showing up fashionably late- or is she simply making her usual Starbucks/gas station run?
