Britney Spears – Kids are Safe, Britney Unknown!

After both Britney and her 2-year-old son, Jayden James, were taken to the hospital via ambulance it was unclear if the pop tart or her little toddler were in harm's way.

Fortunately, PEOPLE is reporting that both Sean Preston and Jayden James have been taken home safely in the custody of their father, Kevin Federline.

K-Fed has taken the two boys to his home in Tarzana but it is still unknown why Britney was hospitalized or whether or not she's still being held.

Police claim that the pop terror refused to give the two boys back to her husband at 7 o'clock last night, the scheduled time for Brit's visitation to end. When police arrived to take the boys, it became clear to them that Britney "was under the influence of an unknown substance."

It is still unknown what substance Britney was under the influence of.

And while both children are safe at home, the fate of Ms. Spears is still in the air.

The pop wreck appeared to be conscious the whole time, often smiling but appearing confused at times, and was even reported giving the finger to paparazzi as she arrived at the hospital.

Hopefully this will be the wakeup call she needs.
