Britney Spears: How I Met Your Mother Actor Weighs in on Spears Role!

"I was shocked that Madame Spears was willing to come and do some acting," the 34-year-old actor tells Entertainment Tonight. "She hasn't acted in a while," he adds.

How I Met Your Mother CastAs for whether or not we can expect Brit-Brit's normal chaotic behavior to shine through on set, Harris says he wouldn't count on it.  

"This is a very interesting role. It is very not like her at all in real life in any of her previous chapters."

So who exactly will the pop wreck play?

"She plays the secretary to another girl that Ted [Josh Radnor] is after," Harris reveals.

"So, it will be very unlike any Britney we have seen before, and we have seen a lot of Britney recently," he jokes.

Pink is the New Blog broke the news and hints that Britney's appearance is scheduled for the week of April 7.

Update: A rep for the show has confirmed to Access Hollywood that the episode featuring Brit-Brit will air on March 24.
