Britney Spears Hospitalized after Custodial Dispute

Just when you think things can't get worse for Hollywood's favorite train wreck, a custodial dispute lands the former pop icon of the world hospitalized in Los Angeles!

Brit-Brit, who had a busy day with the lawyers yesterday (she finally showed up for her deposition but stayed a mere 14 minutes), was later hospitalized after police arrived at her Studio City home to solve a custodial dispute.

Britney Spears: Photo Credit: WENNIt appears that the 26-year-old mom refused to give her two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, back to her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, at the scheduled 7 o'clock switch.

Officers arrived to take the boys and give them back to K-Fed when they noticed the pop tart acting suspicious.

"While officers were on the scene, they observed Ms. Spears under the influence of an unknown substance," says LAPD officer Jason Lee.

"She is now being taken in for an evaluation, more than likely to a hospital. There were no reported injuries to anyone involved including the children."

And with multiple police officers, fire trucks, two ambulances and a police helicopter surrounding the home, the troubled star was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for an evaluation.

PEOPLE is reporting that Brit's father, Jamie, along with Kevin and her two sons, later arrived at the hospital. No injuries have been reported.

We'll have more details as to why the former pop icon was hospitalized when they become available.

i had read on another page that the one year old son Jayden was also taken to the hospital that is why K-fed was at the hospital. i hope to God that she didn't do anything stupid

I feel like the girl just wants her children, she is doing everything she can to try and get them and with the pressure of everyone looking, watching, she is only human and just because she is a star doesn't mean she's not human and entitled to her privacy sometimes. I think everyone is over reacting about the situation, instead of trying to help her, people are hurting her, how can she get better with people all up in her face and all up in her business, if she breaths, they can taste it. It truely is rediculus and I pray for her and her family, that she gets stronger and better. Britney, put your trust and your worries in God and just do what you know is right and trust me sweetie, everything is going to be okay. It seems tough now, but God is everything and if you BELIEVE he can work it out. your situation will improve and you will see that no matter what these people running their mouth about don't mean anything. Just focus on those children and doing the right thing because they need you.
