Britney Spears and Jamie Lynn – Where did it go Wrong?

Britney Spears and her little sister, Jamie Lynn used to be so close. Britney was Jamie Lynn's role model, constantly spending time with her big sis on tour and making public appearances with Brit on a regular basis.

Now that the two girls have grown up and have their own troubles to deal with (Brit's custody battle/mental issues and Jamie Lynn's pregnancy) it seems as though the two girls barely even communicate with one another - let alone hang out and have fun.

But when exactly did Jamie Lynn and Britney decide that their relationship wasn't worth saving?

Was it one big argument that set the relationship into a downwards spiral or did the two girls simply grow apart?

In Britney's lyrics for "My Prerogative" she says the following:

"They [the media] don't understand me, I really don't know the deal about my sister, trying hard to make it right, not long ago before I won this fight."

Maybe the girls had troubles long before Britney's turmoil even began.

The last time the girls were seen spending quality time together was October 10, 2007 when Brit and Jamie Lynn hit up a Starbucks and had dinner (Taco Bell) together.

Conveniently, their reunion occurred just weeks before Jamie Lynn announced she was pregnant at the tender age of 16. Maybe Jamie was reaching out to her big sis for help during a difficult time.

Let's hope they're just too busy right now to see each other.

Who knows, maybe they talk on the phone a lot.

Hopefully these two sisters can find a way to make it through the hard times together.

It would be a shame to see a relationship like this ruined because of the media.
