Pitt told TODAY's Ann Curry that his new foundation, "Make It Right," will build environmentally friendly homes in New Orleans' flood damaged Lower Ninth Ward.

It may seem like an ambitious goal but the world-renowned actor wants the first 150 homes ready by next summer.
"This area where we're standing right now, they lost over 5,000 [homes]," he tells Ann as they walk through the area where the homes are set to be built.
"I'm hoping we can expand over to the rest of New Orleans. There's no reason why we need to stop here. It's just going to be if we can get the financial support to make up the difference people need to return to their homes."
Pitt already donated five million dollars to fund some of the costs but realizes that a lot more cash will be needed before the plan is finished.
"This is an adopt-a-house campaign," he said. "I'm asking for foundations, for high net-worth individuals, for church groups, for corporations to come in to adopt a home. Basically, $150,000 will get a family back in their home."
And while this project means the world to him, Brad insists his wife (Angelina Jolie) and children remain his top priority.
Is this man too good to be true, or what?
