Angelina Jolie Pregnant or Publicity Stunt?

We've been following the Angelina Jolie pregnancy rumors over the past few months (who hasn't?) but recent allegations that Angie and Brad may be staging a fake pregnancy to gain publicity are shocking - but are they true?

Many readers believe that Angelina is acting as though she's pregnant to take away from the many award losses she's been experiencing over the past few months. Others speculate that the couple would like as much publicity as they can handle right now - in order to raise awareness for Brad's housing campaign in New Orleans. Just staying in the public eye will help Pitt secure partnerships with high profile companies - he doesn't even have to mention the campaign during events.

If Angelina isn't pregnant then someone should inform her stylist because all of her recent outfits have screamed maternity.

She's a smart woman, she knows what she's doing when she steps onto the red carpet in baggy dresses and flowing skirts right after announcing that she wants to have another baby this year.

But if Jolie is pregnant and they're just waiting to make sure the baby is healthy before they announce, then we can respect that.

It's pushing 3 months since Brad and Angie initially sparked rumors though - they're going to have to announce the good news at some point.

i think angie is pregnent i'm five months pregnent and when i dressed a coat no one can see my bumb see pics end nov early dec 2005 when angie was with shi of the most she don't look pregnent and she was 4-5 months

stunt and i worry there is even worse to come if you pretend you're pregnant and you're not, won't you have to pretend to miscarry at some stage? i hope she is pregnant as if she is low enough to lie about this...and that then what else is she capable of?

Even if pregnant, she used that dress at SAG to get attention and distract from her snubs, since now she's officially a has-been, famous for being famous.She needs something in her personal life since her movies are bombing and even St John fired her. No Oscar, no golden globe, no cca, no sag.. nothing!! We can see in her new pics she is NOT showing! So, EVEN if she's pregnant, that dress was OBVIOUSLY to call attention to her. Doesn't matter if there's a baby or even 7 babies inside her, it is NOT showing yet. That dress was a stunt. If she's not pregnant, even worse!

Um, Angelina is a Golden Globe and Oscar winning actress (among many other awards) and UN Ambassador. She has 2 huge films coming out this year. She was just in the widely successful Beowulf and critically acclaimed A Mighty Heart. She was nominated for multiple awards for her role as Marianne Pearl even if she didn't win. How can you call a person who didn't win a "has been"? Only one person in a catergory can win. I am not a Angelina fanatic. But your statement is completely illogical. It sounds like you have taken your fascination with her a bit too seriously, like you are personally angry with her and she doesn't even know you exist. Take a step back and breathe. Who cares if she is having a baby or not? Or if she's famous just for being famous. You can't topple her with your blog comments. They are just living their lives and they are not concerned about yours!

not who you directed your comments to but is it not the public backlash, carried out both on the internet and in cinemas which has 'toppled' this woman.The fact that people seriously dislike her, on a personal level-although not rational to you -is not without consequence to the 'star' herself. Her film was critically acclaimed but an enormous flop despite the serious and important content. the tabloids believed-as maybe she herself believed- that her ability to shift their rags was on account of her popularity as a movie star-it doesn't seem to be.Most serious actors and actresses do not want to become a raghag as they lose credibility as a performer. She made herself unpopular by endless blatant publicity stunts,people do actually notice these things and only eventually feel bothered enough to comment- if this is just another than shame on her,again.

I would like to say that if in fact most egossip readers think this is a pr stunt than most are dense. Shame on you people who are saying this is a publicity stunt. Have any of you ever been pregnant before? Especially if it's a high risk pregnancy involving more than one child. Typically you wait until everything is fine and you're in the clear with your pregnancy before you share the news with anyone to guard against a miscarriage. More importantly why the hell would Angelina and Brad reveal their pregnancy to tabloids and the such. They have a right to privacy.

Remember when she went to adopt Pax (as a SINGLE parent!), and the press were relentless? Well at that time when she complained, I could understand her being bothered by the intrusion of the cameras, but her outrage wasn't sincere. She had the nerve and stupidity to complain about the press and then a few days after the adoption she invited a freaking camera crew to photograph that poor little boy. Everything was new and scary to him; can you imagine being surrounded by strangers speaking a new language, being taken from the only home you've ever known and then having people come and snap photos? The poor thing was probably terrified. She constantly pimps her children out for press and then complains of people taking their pictures. If you want people to leave them alone then maybe you shouldn't do things like SELL THEIR PICTURES! My point is this woman cannot be trusted. She revels in the attention and is happy to use her children to turn a profit and gain attention, all the while complaining about the photos she benefits from. Now she has sunk to a new low and is attempting to benefit from a fetus that does not exist! Her father was right, she is mentally ill.

Your comment is illogical, annoymous is the default in the name field. People have not chosen this name it is already there. Not everyone wants to share their name on a public blog. You have not shared your name either, what can we assume from this? You make alot of totally groundless assumptions in your post which reveals more about you than those you are directing your ire at. Personally I think that AJ is very aware of what she is doing in terms of getting people talking. She is intelligent and has been in the business for a number of years. She knows how to play the game. I don't know if she is pregnant or not, none of us do but she appears to be sending signals that she is (she has spoken about her desire to increase her family, she is wearing very loose fitting clothes and she gagged the press on questions regarding her personal life). Only time will tell. I do not hate the woman, I have never met her but I do not think that the sun shines out of her backside and that she can do no wrong either. You are clearly a fan which is fine, you have your opinions let others have their's.

So, let me ask this. When Angie was newly pregnant (she was 2 months pregnant then) in November of 2005 and both her and Brad went to Pakistan after the earthquake, wasn't it not safe for her baby? But guess what? She went. It's also funny that when speculation about Angie's pregnancy was running rampant in 2005, and when she was wearing loose clothes, there were some people who were saying as some of you are today that she was just wearing such clothes for publicity to fuel those pregnancy rumors. And then as her belly grew and the announcement that she was pregnant came, then people believed. I find it so hilarious that people are saying that AMH flopped and oh, it's because people hate Angie. Okay then. Let me ask this, WHY did Reese Witherspoon's movie, 'Rendition' flop too? Isn't she an AMERICAN SWEETHEART who's movies should ALWAYS be hits? Why did Halle Berry's movie 'Things We Lost In The Fire' flop? Is she also hated? I'm sure there were other flops from other stars last year too. Also, HOW IN THE WORLD CAN BEING NOMINATED FOR DIFFERENT AWARDS BE CONSIDERED A FAILURE? This is the first time that Angie has received such critical acclaim and been nominated for her acting since 2000. That's something big and I'm very grateful and happy for her as a fan. She didn't get an Oscar nomination and that's okay. It's not the end of the world. Angie already has an Oscar, 3 Golden Globes, 2 SAG awards, and other smaller awards in her possession. She'll ALWAYS be known as an Oscar winning actress. ALWAYS.
